Admissions 2019

Thank you for attending our open day tours and/or open evening.  The next stage is for parents to submit their secondary applications to Medway Council by 5pm on 31st October 2018.  After this parents will be notified of their offered school by Medway Council on 1st March 2019.

In-year admissions:

The method to apply for a place at this school during the academic year is the casual admission process.

Please complete the casual admission form (available here) and return it by email to office@sjwms.co.uk.

When we receive your completed form, your son will be invited to sit an 11+ style test to determine if he is of selective school ability. Please note that if your son has already been deemed selective by Medway Council, the result is valid for 12 calendar months. If your son reaches the required academic standard and if a place is available in the year group, a place will be offered.                                            

If an offer is not given, due to the school being oversubscribed or your son not reaching the required academic standard, you will be able to appeal. Please note this school is currently oversubscribed in all year groups.

APPEALS:

Following the publication of the results of the Medway and Kent tests, here are the key dates for the rest of the process.  Parents are notified of their allocated school on 1st March.  Any parent wishing to appeal this decision should check back on this page after then for an update:

Deadline for receipt of Medway Test Review requests

Monday 15 October 2018

Deadline for primary and junior schools to submit review work to the Council

No later than 10am on Wednesday 17 October 2018

Medway Test Reviews and moderation

Thursday 18 and Friday 19 October 2018

Review decisions notified to parents/carers

By Tuesday 23 October 2018

Closing date for secondary applications (Online and SCAFs) – National Closing Date

No later than 5pm on Wednesday 31 October 2018
