The Rugby academy is structured around the academic timetable, its aim is to support, nurture and develop young players in an attempt to reach their potential. A typical week consists of five timetabled training sessions that include,
- Skills performance and development
- Individual skill development
- Technical and tactical training sessions, game awareness.
- A detailed progressive conditioning programme.
- Diet and nutrition advice.
Players are selected into the academy based on ability and potential.
A player selected for academy entry will be directed into a personal programme that is geared primarily to ensure that his capabilities and abilities as a rugby player are maximised.
The best rugby players are those who can apply themselves across a number of disciplines. Education targets will be set and must be met by all academy athletes.
Application forms are available from the school. Contact. Mr Stewart through the school on 01634 844008
